Yes I'm still alive. I shall pass on craft-a-week 2 because I have a valid excuse and am just glad all my crafting materials and stuff were up in the second floor of the house otherwise all the junk I had collected would really have ended up as trash. Anyhoo, I was already staring at this baby dress before the flood and i started cutting it up. By the time I had realised I missed assignment number 2 I decided to go ahead and do this anyway. So here it is, baby dress turned toddler skirt. I got the idea from dana's market skirt, sans the hem and pockets. She also has a nifty resizing guide at the end of the tutorial.
